You'll need adjustable wrench and channel locks. start on bottom first. Apply a LOT of the provided Teflon tape on the male/male nipple threads. Like, a lot. Install the nipple into the ball valve before you install into the kettle. Install them into the bell adapter thing outside of the kettle, too. THEN install into the kettle. THE NUT THAT GOES ON THE INSIDE ONLY GOES ONE WAY, look at the nut, it is grooved on one side, that side faces the o-ring.

Beautiful stainless steel coffee maker or butter melter from Cuisinox. The quality is fantastic. It is shiny and thick. The material is top. Only one con is the fact that it tends to be easily in desequilibrium because of the long and heavy handle. Very easy to clean. Remember to take an oven mitt when it has been in the oven or on the stove. Buy eventually a stove adaptater like the ones for moka if you want to melt butter in it on the gas.

heats well, pours well, very solid, very sturdy. Everything I could want since I don’t want to heat random metal amalgamation or sketchy lead ceramic (sorry I love tradition but I’m not drinking hot liquid out of those!!) this thing is great!!
