Plastic Wrap Cutter and Dispenser

This is one of the best purchases I've ever made! Having previously owned a bakery, it is hard for me to switch from the large rolls of plastic wrap to the small ones available at grocery stores. The big ones are too much trouble to carry back and forth to my pantry, so I've been leaving mine on my kitchen counter. Always available, but very ugly. I actually found this dispenser while looking to reorder the 18-inch plastic wrap. I am so so glad I did! Yes, it is big....has to be to hold the large roll of plastic wrap. It is also much more attractive than the boxes the plastic wrap comes in. I love the cutter! It just slides across, and cuts smoothly every time. No crooked pieces hanging out of the box due to bad cuts. I wish it was available in other colors, but that's not important enough for me to remove a star. I'd give it 20, if I could!

Title says it all. I held off buying one for years for . This has been a massive upgrade for me. It’s cleaner and easier to work with compared to the cardboard box plastic films come in, and the cutter nails it right the first time every time.

I compared this product with other plastic wrap dispensers here on Amazon and other online retail stores as well. It took me about a week of comparing and finally purchased it and it was delivered today. I absolutely love how easy it was to place my plastic wrap inside the dispenser which I had a small roll of 12" plastic wrap and also 18" of 3000 ft. And they both fit very easily inside the dispenser. I love how the lid fits over the plastic wrap and it also came with an extra blade to cut foil. that is self-storing inside the dispenser (so it will not get lost). The Slide Cutter works really great cutting plastic wrap as it glides easily over the plastic wrap when cutting.. Although it was indicated on the sales page. "Plastic Food Cling Wrap" I have no clue if the Slider Cutter glides as easily when cutting Cling Wrap as it does when cutting plastic wrap? I bought it mainly because storing the plastic wrap in a cardboard box is very unsanitary when dealing with fresh-cut meat.

It checks all the essential boxes - especially price - I got it on sale in a beat-up box for four zero.
But it came shaken to bits (nothing broken) and the flip top wasn't assembled. That's quite tricky as the hinges look ready to snap off if you make a wrong move. I did it by squeezing each segment really hard (4 segments total) and they popped into place. I'm pretty sure you could do this wrong.
The thing is not huge - not heavy - just a bit wide. I store it pointing side-out.
One of the rubber feet was off - just a sticker.
It's not bad looking. Comes with a foil knife just loose in there. And it's decent thickness plastic - just 50% too flimsy for the size. But hey - that's a lot of material you're not paying for.
It only has two sets of holes for I guess 12 and 18 inch rolls. Easy enough to drill another set. I'm thinking I'm going to upgrade to shipping wrap in the future - which is the same material only 4x thicker - but it comes only in 17". This all took a while to figure out! This is a great compromise - not a production model - but with a little extra effort it will cover that plate without a crease and drum - tight = what I was looking for. With the PVC material - no oxygen will get in - and no bear will eat my food that s/he can't smell.
